You always get the best snaps at birthday parties and family barbecues... everyone says so.
Yet... something is missing. Something important. You feel it. Deep inside. And the non image-makers just don't get it. They think you should be thrilled to take so many great shots. You should be a professional, they say. And you know they mean well. And you smile. Laugh it off. Even when you secretly hope that, well-meaning ignorance aside, perhaps they're right. You shrug it away. Over and over again. Because always, deep down in your wannabe photographer's heart, you know there is more work to do.
